Today marked an exciting milestone for Synthgen as we participated in the Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition Europe 2025 at the prestigious High Tech Campus Eindhoven 🇳🇱.
We took the stage to present Synthgen's cutting-edge technology and business vision to a distinguished audience of investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. The competition provided the perfect platform to demonstrate how synthetic data is revolutionizing AI development across industries.
During the pitch, we discussed why synthetic data is finally becoming practical and essential for AI development. As Ilya Sutskever (OpenAI co-founder) noted at NeurIPS 2024, real data is like fossil fuel - finite and running out. Synthetic data represents the natural next step for scalable AI training.
We highlighted how synthetic data technology has reached a new stage of maturity, with real-world success stories from our partnership with Luxeed Robotics. These agriculture models, trained on hybrid and even fully synthetic datasets, are performing strongly and improving every month as generative AI models evolve.
What sets Synthgen apart is our focus on synthetic image data as a service. While most synthetic data players are tech giants like Nvidia or Google building internal tools, few focus on synthetic image data as a service. In Europe, this niche is almost untouched - most companies work on tabular or text data.
Out of 2,300+ startups attending Web Summit Lisbon 2025, we're the only one focused on synthetic image data as a service. This unique positioning allows us to move faster, iterate faster, and adapt without corporate overhead.
We showcased our partnership with Luxeed Robotics, where together we're pushing the boundaries of AI for agriculture. We joined the MIT: R&D-Samenwerkingsprojecten AI program, scoring 102 points and ranking 8th out of 65 startups. Recognized as one of the top AI innovation projects in the Netherlands, we secured a 2 year subsidy to focus full-time on synthetic data research.
We're expanding the platform - building out full automation pipelines for synthetic data generation, validation, and automated labeling. At the same time, we're exploring tabular (text) synthetic data under the same umbrella, aiming to make Synthgen the go-to provider for end-to-end synthetic data solutions.
